Am I an adult?

Am I really 30?  This was my Sunday:

8:30 am. Chat on phone with brother and sis-in-law in Chicago, who just bought a new car and are now boxing up their Christmas ornaments...two things I have never done in my life.

9am.  Gym. Cardio cardio cardio.

11:30am.  Wait 1+hr in line for brunch at Brenda's French Soul Food..  Eat eggs Benedict served on buttermilk biscuits and home fries.  Chocolate beignets (pictured) for dessert

2:30pm.  Manicure.  Color of choice is called "fishnet stockings." Perfect for a week of important work meetings and networking events.

3:30pm.  Speaking of stockings, buy another pair of sheer black ones from H&M.

4:15pm.  Stand pensively in closet, lament over a size 2 dress purchased 3 years ago during a disgustingly skinny phase caused by illness and stress.  Secretly wish for a stomach flu.

4:30pm.  Get into pajamas and lay in bed and make substantial dent into the 940-page Winter of the World

7pm.  Tea & biscuits, wishing antenna picked up PBS to watch Downton Abbey.  Blog instead.

On the bright side, I made it the whole weekend without alcohol!  High-five.

This sounds like kind of an awesome day to me. :) I have bought a new car and put ornaments away many a time, but sometimes I feel like I'm just faking my way as an adult!

Sounds like an ok day. I ran errands then watched football while reading curled up with my Cat all afternoon.

I'm just impressed that you were even up by 8:30am on a Sunday. Sounds like a good weekend :)

You definitely did many more adult-y things than I did yesterday! I didn't even wake up until 10 and then I had to talk myself into doing one load (one dish drying rack full, that is)of dishes.

Way to go!

Haha thanks everyone! Like bluemoon said, sometimes I just feel like I'm faking my way through adulthood... but no complaints here :)

You are so adorable! I have yet to box up my Christmas trees. And ornaments. And basically anything that has the word "Christmas" in it that has exploded throughout our home. Good job on the lack of alcohol!

By the way, I'm still "faking my way through adulthood." The only difference is I have the BF being all awesome and taking care of me. Even when I forget to turn the oven/stove-top off on a near-daily basis.
