And aside from that smart-ass answer, I've been on the look out for a purple rug that doesn't cost more than a vacation, to compliment my new purple throw pillows and my standard purple bedding.
One beauty of living alone is I get to make all the decorating decisions! My motif is something I like to call "global purple" - the aforementioned purple accents combined with all the art I've bought on my travels abroad. It's my apartment and my money, so I get to be as girly as I want!

this is, perhaps, one of the best parts of being single/living alone. If I want the bright magenta towels in my bathroom, then SO BE IT!!! Plus, no gross boys messing up your stuff :)
I too am in search of an area rug for my living room that won't bankrupt me. I found a cute one at Ikea, $600!!! At Ikea!!!

If guys can have a bachelor pad, we can have single lady pads (wait that sounds kinda gross) but you know what mean! Magenta towels...magenta everything :)
